SpiroExpand MultiControl Cool (EMCC)

The SpiroExpand MultiControl Cool series is an expansion and pressure maintenance unit designed for cooling systems.

To develop a product specifically designed to meet the requirements of these systems, the following physical aspects must be taken into account:

  • Temperature differences within the system
  • Temperature fluctuations at the installation site
  • Condensation

The SpiroExpand MultiControl Cool systems are available with three different pump systems:

  1. Solo: Single pump system, pump and overflow valve designed for 100% of the expansion volume flow.
  2. Duo: Double pumping system, pumps convey in parallel, allowing a greater expansion volume flow to be achieved. The overflow valve is designed for this volume flow.
  3. Maxi: double pump system, pump(s) and overflow valve designed for 100% of the expansion volume flow. The 2nd pump serves as a back-up (fail-safe).

All SpiroExpand MultiControl Cool systems are available with a usable upper pressure of 4.0 or 5.6 bar.

For example: the EMCC-D1-5.6 is a MultiControl Cool with DUO double pump system and an upper working pressure of 5.6 bar.

Taking into account the VDI4708 and VDI2035 guidelines, Spirotech recommends the use of a separate microbubble deaerator or vacuum degasser to ensure optimal degassing of heating and cooling systems.
