Spirotech bv is engaged in the development and production of innovative total solutions for the conditioning of liquids in HVAC and process installations. Spirotech products reduce malfunctions and wear. This reduces maintenance, improves efficiency and reduces energy consumption.

Spirotech currently employs about 160 people, 100 of whom work from the head office in Helmond (The Netherlands). Production takes place in Helmond and various (staff) departments are also located there, such as Finance, HR, IT, Production, Sales Support, Customer Service, Innovation, Purchasing, Sales and Marketing. Spirotech has its own sales offices in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy and China. In many other countries we work with selected partners.

The following vacancy has arisen within the Technical Expertise Center (TEC) department:

(Junior) Knowledge/Learning Specialist

The job

As a Knowledge or Learning Specialist you are part of the TEC department and you are helping the organisation becoming experts in water quality by organizing, locating, and enabling access to relevant knowledge and expertise within the company.

Spirotech already has considerable in-house knowledge, expertise and experience and will now further use and deploy this information in an even more structured way. In this role, you will collect all available knowledge and expertise and convert it into comprehensible information. You will do this by asking the right questions within the entire organisation and converting the information obtained into training materials and useful and accessible information for Spirotech's learning platform: SpiroCademy.

Key result areas/duties:

Managing knowledge base

  • Collecting, structuring and editing existing knowledge/expertise within the company
  • Ensure the knowledge generated within the organization is made easily visible, available and useful to seekers
  • Coordination and control of internal editorial teams (from different departments) with regard to content preparation
  • Work to ensure appropriate IT enablers for knowledge management

Learning platform

  • Establishing and managing a learning platform within the organisation (SpiroCademy)
  • Development and implementation of a blended learning strategy
  • Implementation and further development of a Learning Management System
  • Develop a suite of process tools for learning before, during and after and a means of integrating these within the normal working practices of the organization


  • Organizing the knowledge transfer to the internal organisation and to customers using blended learning
  • Development and production of training material, e-training courses, webinars, learning videos etc.
  • Preparation of training courses
  • Didactic advice for colleagues being in charge of customer trainings
  • Managing and organizing internal and external trainings

Your Profile

For this role, we are interested in a candidate who is more experienced in the field of Knowledge Management, but we also realize that it is an emerging field. We are therefore also open to a Junior in this field, or a student starting an internship from one of the studies below. So even if you have not yet mastered all of the things listed below, but are motivated to learn, we would like to get to know you.

  • Higher professional education in the field of media didactics, media technology, information didactics, (business/media) pedagogy, educational science or comparable study
  • Affinity with and/or work experience in technology driven companies
  • Experience in the creation and implementation of e-learning/blended learning concepts and media-supported learning as well as a familiar handling of learning management systems and authoring software (e.g. Articulate) are an advantage
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Preferably first experiences with web trainings and training videos
  • Good communication skills for consultation and cooperation with our specialist departments
  • Curiosity and interest in technical products
  • Highly interested in continuous learning
  • Good ability to prioritise and organise
  • Independant and committed
  • Languages: English (mandatory), Dutch and/or German
