Spirotech is a family company whose commitment, research and innovation helped it achieve its current size. Our history dates back to 1948, when Frans Roffelsen took over a metal-working company together with his wife Jo. This company manufactured all sorts of products, from washing lines to entire machines. However, Mr Roffelsen looked further than production alone, and turned out to have an eye for innovation and experimented with heat transfer and coils.
While developing further applications for the Spirotube, he found that air is a significant disruptive factor for heat transfer in fluids and that the Spirotube functioned perfectly as an air separation element. As a result, he developed the SpiroVent in 1968. In the years to follow he discovered many more useful properties, as the tube not only separated air, but dirt too.

Spirotech was founded in 1985. This company focused fully on the production and development of products for air separation, dirt separation and heat transfer. The international success of these products resulted in expansion into the North American and Canadian markets with the incorporation of Spirotherm, Inc. in 1989. In the meantime, Spirotech continued to strengthen its position in Europe by opening offices in Germany (1994), the UK (2004) and Belgium (2005).
